Message from CTU

After five years of implementation, we highly appreciate the successful collaboration,
noticeable support by Japanese agencies, the Embassy of Japan, the JICA Headquarters
and Viet Nam Office, and the nine universities of the Japanese Supporting University
Consortium, and by the following Vietnamese agencies, the Central Government,
particularly Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning
and Investment, thirteen local governments of the Mekong Delta, companies, other
universities, and farmers. Both Projects open new horizons for our long-term development
in terms of human resources, research, infrastructure, as well as university governance.
The projects have strongly motivated us to fulfill the vision of contributing to the
sustainable development of the Mekong Delta Region and the whole country.
With our strong collaboration, especially now, as I am among 28 members of the Mekong
Delta Regional Coordinating Council, I strongly believe that Can Tho University will fulfill
our role as a critical connection point for investment attraction, and enhance the scientific
and enterprise network, to involve more stakeholders for practical studies.
