Chapter 4 Results of Joint Review
4.3.1 Background and the Objectives
Under JICA technical cooperation project (JICA CTU Project), CTU had established a scheme to open
three (3) master’s programs with support from JICA and Japanese supporting universities for the
deployment of the component for strengthening education implementation systems in the three fields
(Output 1 of PDM).
Since CTU has conducted the first enrollment in 2018, two Master’s Programs, Climate Change and
Sustainable Tropical Agriculture and Climate Change and Delta Management, have been deployed for
graduate students with instruction from the lecturers of CTU and the professors of Japanese supporting
universities.
After two years of implementation of the programs, the New Master’s Programs Committee, Project
Management Unit (PMU) and JICA CTU Project have jointly conducted the comprehensive survey for
the monitoring and evaluation of the New Master’s Programs.
4.3.2 Achievements of the New Master’s Programs at the Time of the Survey
(until Dec. 2020)
1) Three New Master’s Programs
The following three master’s programs have been established under the JICA CTU (TC) Project.
• [Agriculture] Climate Change and Sustainable Tropical Agriculture (CoA)
• [Aquaculture & Fisheries] Climate Change and Integrated Management of Coastal Aquaculture
and Fisheries (CAF)
• [Environment] Climate Change and Delta Management (CENRes)
