activities of education, research and outreach including human resource development and

protection and value-added agriculture/aquaculture of the Mekong Delta (MD)
3 Activities 1. Joint Research Activities:
▶ Support of Research Fund under ODA Loan.
▶ Submission of quarterly progress reports by each research program leader and final report
▶ Encouragement of publications such as scientific papers and seminars
▶ Joint Research under CTU initiative in collaboration with Professors in Japanese Universities,
Local Governments and Some Companies/Stakeholders of the MD.
▶ Dispatch of Japanese Profs under Technical Cooperation(TC) budget
▪Model Joint Research by TC: 4 programs (themes)
▪Joint Research by ODA Loan: 36 programs (themes)
▶ Sharing Information of the Research Results in and outside CTU through seminars, etc.

3.1.3 The Project under the Government Strategy
The Government of Viet Nam issued the Sustainable and Climate-resilient Development Strategy of
the MD in the Resolution No. 120 and Decisions No. 417 and No. 324.
The strategy conforms to the Project activities in Education, Research and Outreach. CTU declared to
enhance close collaboration with the MD stakeholders at the occasion of the symposium (SDMD-2021)

on March 30 , 2021 organized by CTU and JICA, for further contribution to the communities through
utilizing the Project Outcomes.
The government strategy is a strong impetus for CTU members to collaborate with the communities,
local governments, private sectors and academia of the MD.
