Chapter 2 Results of Technical Cooperation Project
7) Self-evaluation of In November 2018, CTU’s New Master’s Programs Committee held a review
education outcome meeting with the Project and Prof. TAKAGI Yasuaki (Hokkaido University), the

improvement of on-going master’s programs as many as possible.
From Oct. to Dec. 2020, the Project, the New Master’s Programs Committee and
PMU jointly conducted monitoring and evaluation of the programs with support
of the Quality Management Center of CTU. The activity was summarized in the
report.
The outline is as follows:
1) Methods: Survey through questionnaires and interviews

3) Target programs: Agriculture and Environment courses of
1st and 2nd Cohort
4) Target of survey:
- All MSc students of the 1st and 2nd Cohorts
(101 students in total)
- Co-lecturers of Model Lectures (16 lecturers)
- Managing staff of the new master’s programs (13 members)
5) Summary of the results:
According to the results of questionnaires, 82 % of the students and 83 % of
the lecturers and the managing staff rated scale 4 or 5 (Satisfaction > 50 %).
Regarding the model lectures, Japanese professors overall received high
ratings from both students and co-lecturers because of their profound, updated
and practical knowledge as well as their good teaching methods and materials.
