            abroad. Besides, for short-term training, research periods, research details, supervisors, joint research
            coordination, play an essential role.
            3.6.3 Future Expectation (Expected Outcomes)


               CTU has comprehensively supported its staff members. Prior to departure for Japan, CTU supported
            staff members to participate in the workshop on 911 scholarship application instructions, in addition
            to the selection of trainees, research themes, training institutions, supervisors, admission applications,
            visa arrangements, the timing of admission applications, timings for the payment of admission fees.
            CTU also organized a Japanese language training course, pre-departure orientation for staff.

               Under the Project HRD plan, 45 staff members are trained in Japan for study in graduate courses,
            including 36 for PhD and 9 for Master courses. As of June 2021, 28 staff (22 PhD and 6 MSc holders)
            have successfully finished their studies, and already returned with degrees. Two more staff members
            are expected to graduate from a master program in Japan in September, 2021. A list of CTU staff
            members who studied in Japanese Universities is given in the Annex.

               CTU seriously considers possible ways to encourage those members after they have returned to
            CTU, through appropriate allocation of those members in proper positions for future development of
            CTU. CTU organized a special meeting with the director board, PMU and CTU staff to comprehend their
            perspectives, satisfy their needs and solve their difficulties, wherever possible.
