development in MD regions and systematically expands the University’s IP to commercialization
in industries and policy proposals in local governments. Moreover, the Project contributes to
systematically developing regional collaboration for problem-solving in communities, especially in the
effect of climate change nowadays, through SDMD 2021 conferences.
Finally, the Project plays an essential role in enhancing the effective links resources inside and
outside the CTU to support high-quality human resources contributing to the sustainable development
network of the industry-university-local government.
5.5.4 Effectiveness and Impact of the ODA Master's Programs

Post-graduate education is one of the main activities of the Project. Master's programs in Agriculture,
Aquaculture, and Environment have been developed with the support of the Project. These programs
are highly effective and impact developing master's programs at CTU:
(1) The Effectiveness: The curriculum of the programs has developed, and their courses have been
conducted by professors of 9 Japanese University partners and CTU, so these are qualified and satisfied
the requirements of employers from companies, research institutes, universities, governance offices in
the MD.
(2) The Impact: Besides the programs have been conducted at CTU, there is one batch of the master's
program in Climate change and Sustainable Tropical Agriculture driven at Vinh Long Province for 61
local officers, and one batch of the master's program in Climate changes and Integrated Management
of Coastal Aquaculture and Fisheries conducted in Ca Mau province for 25 local officers. Moreover,
Dong Thap province authority is currently selecting applicants for the Climate change and Sustainable
Tropical Agriculture program. Therefore, the three master's programs supported by the Project have
qualified and satisfied due to the requirements of the MD.
Up to July 2021, 149 graduate students have been educated by the three master's programs
supported by the Project, as shown in the table below:
