3.8.3 Key Factor-3: Getting More Knowledge and Experiences

PMU and CTU Administration Office are enthusiastic about organizing seminars of various sorts.
For example, a seminar on scientific writing and laboratory practices was given by Prof. J. KOYAMA,
Kagoshima University, JICA Short-term Expert. It provided an ideal opportunity for the participants to
learn issues related to these topics.

Prof. A. ISHIMATSU, Academic Advisor, also gave a 12-week special lecture on a “Basic Course on
How to Write Scientific Papers in English”. Students are mainly junior staff members of different
disciplines who have strong incentive to write scientific papers. These seminars do and will exert a
great impact on university to stimulate academic motivation and creative knowledge.
